December 1st = Ice Age

...or how we passed from a warm spring to the most cruel winter in 2 days.

Shanghai, December 1st. First day in Advent Calendar. The Christmas tree set up is incomplete. It's Monday and that's not a good sign. Today's event is that we get caught by 8 degree Celsius as maximum temperature (we never reached it) and the minimum is 1 degree Celsius but feeling like minus 1. I translate this like the Planet went out for some drinks on Monday and it got confused with the wind flows and their temperature. Welcome to Ice Age.

Result: the cashmere sweater and coat you have been pairing for one month 'cause we're in Fall and you got bored with summer clothes... now they're not enough. Your entire body needs more layers to act as insulation. Scarf has stopped to be a mere decoration and you're already wondering in which part of your closet you abandoned your gloves and beanie last winter. I manage to get through this icy Monday thanks to a broccoli cream soup for dinner.

On Tuesday the polar wind keeps getting up to its old tricks and I've put into practice my ability to overlap layers and layers... many years living face to North can prove it. Skirt and pants. Yes, you've understood right and I'm not referring to a skirt-pants. A pair of leggings covered by this shiny skirt from Zara party collection. I dare to show the ankles (I've happened to not get frozen yet), but my feet keep more than warm inside my Nike Air.

This is the first day I undertake with a turtle neck. I'm not really a fan, 'cause they oppress me promptly. Let's say that this time I went for sweater over sweater. Turtle neck + cashmere V neck with bet for black and charcoal-grey. Camel mannish coat over it and wintery accessories.

I believe that this achievement is not that bad, bearing in mind that my mind had not got ready for this polar cold time. In simple language: it caught us all unaware and now each day means a great reflection about the attire in order to not freeze my ass off and still keep that fashionism which we were greatly handling back in November.
